Behaviour Support

As a NDIS provider we are able to provide Positive Behaviour Support under the Improved Relationships category. Working with the individual and the systems surrounding them, we endeavour to understand the unique needs of the person, supporting them and their support networks to increase their ability to meet these needs. We are passionate about helping individuals to feel understood and supported, working to help all to have the best quality of life possible.
When working within the family setting, we work closely with both the parents and the child to understand the child’s needs and disability related struggles, improving everyone’s ability to have their needs met. We believe that the child is not an isolated individual, rather a part of a family system where everyone needs to be supported in order for the child to meet their full potential.
Within SILs and other settings we work with the participant, their family and the stakeholders involved to support the individual and enable them to have a higher quality of life. We are also experienced in identifying and reducing Restrictive Practices where applicable.
Behaviour support is funded by the NDIS under the Improved Relationship category and includes the development of comprehensive plans with personalised strategies to support the participant and those around them in reducing behaviours of concern.
Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, adhd, autism or trauma we will support you on your journey. We use an integrative approach to psychotherapy and the approaches used are tailored to your personal needs, chosen alongside you to best support you in overcoming your challenges. We believe that both the mind and body impact and affect our wellbeing, being inseparably linked and equally important. We draw from numerous modalities to best support you, helping you develop the internal resources needed to cope with the challenges.
Working from early intervention through to adulthood we use a relational approach which utilises a range of therapeutic modalities, these may include aspects of art therapy, ecotherapy, listening therapy, somatic therapy and traditional cognitive therapies. We approach difficulties from a strength-based stance, endeavouring to work with you to understand your unique strengths and needs and how these affect your day-to-day functioning.
We see clients for Psychotherapy and Counselling both privately and under NDIS. For NDIS clients the Improved Daily Living category is where the funding for counselling/psychotherapy is accessed.
